Transporting a wheelchair in a vehicle requires tie-downs

Transporting a wheelchair in a vehicle requires four tie-downs, two in the front and two in the rear. Additionally any person seated in the wheelchair will need a 3 point seat belt. This is the standard to which you should always strive to achive. Anything less just isn’t as safe.

Our product range cover everything from the floor fittings in the vehicle to the occupant’s seatbelt. Making sure you can enjoy a safe ride. Naturally our range of wheelchair tie-downs comply with or exceed the minimum requirements of ISO 10542.

Solo Anchors

The system comes with a patented floor anchor permanently fixed to the vehicle floor and a fixing cleat.

  • The cleat, which is fitted to the restraint’s strap, slides on to the anchor point in order to secure the wheelchair.
  • The system is quick, easy to use and very effective.
  • The floor anchor assembly is made of stainless steel, for longer lasting benefits and is available in one length only.

Static Front Straps, Floor Anchors

Static Solo front straps for floor anchors are used on the front of the wheelchair.

  • The standard static Solo front straps come with a black webbing.
  • The straps are fitted with a quick release tongue and buckle to facilitate operation.
  • The front straps are extremely durable and easy to store.
  • These front straps will require two Solo floor anchors as flooring system.
  • A rear tie-down must be used to secure a wheelchair.

Combined Webbing Tie-down, Three Point Static Lap & Shoulder, Floor Anchor

These rear combined wheelchair restraint systems have been designed for Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles.
 
    •  This rear wheelchair tie-down combines a pair of webbing tie-down and a three point static occupant restraint.
    •  The rear wheelchair tie-down comes with Solo anchors for a dedicated wheelchair position.
    •  The combined system is available with hooks for ease of operation.
    •  The rear tie-down is fitted with short fixed stalk to accommodate the occupant restraint.
    •  The three point occupant restraint consist of a black static lap and shoulder belt to complement the interior of vehicles.
    •  The system will require two Solo floor anchors.
